product was lumpy as if damp, pony refused to eat it and it had an odd smell
Customer does not recommend this product
I bought this product after my horse was a bit flat and not himself. I introduced it slowly and had no problem with him eating it. Two weeks later he is brighter, his droppings are normal, he isn't so bloated. Anyone who takes prebiotics themselves ( like actimel) will know how much better they feel. Hopefully he feels that good. He certainly feels better to me. Highly recommended.

Below are some recent questions we've received regarding Gold Label Probiotic Plus for Horses, including answers from our team.

Same as above
Yes, the probiotic found within this product should help resolve intestinal upsets like diarrhoea. If the issue is ongoing or non responsive to supplements like this then it is strongly advised you see your vet for the condition.

Can this product be fed as a maintenance supplement on a daily basis?
Thank you.
Yes you can use probiotic supplements like this on a daily long term basis. If your pet suffers from long intestinal issues though it is worth seeing your vet to rule out anything more serious. The most common use for probiotics such as this are to settle a mild upset to the microflora, you should see the stools return to normal after which you can trial stopping the supplement.

can this be given to dogs?
This supplement is intended for use in horses, probiotics used in dogs and horses vary so I would not advise feeding this to your dog. I would recommend checking out our dog friendly probiotic range, such as Regutum.
