Description

Global Herbs Sarc-Ex provides a unique traditional approach to those horses with skin concerns. Often no-one is 100% sure what causes such problems but they are certainly related closely to insect bites and inherent weakness in the body’s natural defences and linked to certain viruses. The new formulation is specifically designed to help support the immune system in a complete and natural way.

Benefits

A large proportion of the body’s defences are located in the bowels so the first aim is to support the digestive process and make sure bowel lining is as resilient as possible. The next task is to provide a nutritional base which allows the body to effectively fight abnormalities and microorganisms at the cellular level. An ‘Echinacea free’ product. This product is also a good calming formula and antioxidant so helps your horse feel more relaxed, which again helps the immune system. You will find when feeding this formula that minor wounds, cuts and abrasions will resolve more quickly.

If we cannot do so within 3 working days we will contact you by email.

Delivery of aerosols

Due to air freight restrictions aerosols cannot ever be sent abroad by Royal Mail. We appreciate your understanding.

Delivery of temperature controlled items

Some products, such as insulin and frozen food, need to be delivered in insulated packaging to prevent them from getting too warm (or too cold) during transit from us to you. Purchasing any of these items in your order will result in a £1.99 charge being added to the total to cover the high cost of the insulated packaging materials. You only pay the £1.99 once per order, regardless of how many temperature controlled items you purchase in that order.

Please call us as soon as possible if you need to amend or cancel an order on 01582 842096. If your order has been processed for dispatch we will be unable to cancel or amend the order. You will however be able to return your product for a full refund*.

To return an item, you must contact us by phone or email to arrange this BEFORE posting any product back to us. We will explain the process at this stage for you.

How long does a tub last if feeding 2 scoops twice a day thanks

  • Veterinary Advisor

The scoops are 25ml which is the equivalent to around 13g.

A 1kg tub will last around 35 days fed at the feeding rate for a 500kg horse. 2 Scoops a day. So around 17 days fed at a rate of 4 scoops daily.

My pony has a sarcoid on sheath its dangling also one on side that looks like wart and 2 tiny ones all around same area he's be on sarc ex power for about 2 months 2 scoops a day and also applying the sarc ex cream once a day the dangling one went red and drying out and the others have scabbed over is this a good sign ? Should I continue with sarc ex or try something else ?

  • Veterinary Advisor

It is a good sign that the nodular (dangling) sarcoid has dried out- the hope is that it will eventually drop off. The fact that the others have scabbed over is also a good sign. Most of these creams work in a caustic manner to dry out the sarcoid. You seem to be having some success with this cream although I am not sure it is strong enough to fully get rid of the sarcoid since the base is likely to still be intact. If after another few weeks you are not seeing any further signs of resolution it would be worth contacting your vet since they can prescribe a stronger cream or better still laser the sarcoids off.

Can sarc-ex and your tumeric supplement be fed together ?

Elliot

Can you feed the sarc-ex supplement along with tumeric supplement ?

  • Veterinary Advisor

As long as you do not give excessive amounts of these different supplements and you follow the recommendations for each of them, it is regarded as perfectly safe to give them together. However I would have to say that the whole subject of the use of herbal supplements and giving them together is based on fairly scant scientific evidence, so it is often not possible to say anything much about them with absolute certainty. Through widespread use though, a good level of confidence has been built up about their safety.
