  • Paste » 60ml Syringe £18.99

A super-high quality vitamin-mineral liquid supplement, Farnam Red Cell European Formula arguably sets the industry standard in champion horse nutrition. With some 300mg/oz of chelated iron, Red Cell is a powerful, effective and trusted supplement, homogenised for optimal consistency and boasting high palatability with its strong Yucca flavour. Available as both a liquid and an easy to use syringe which gives your horse an instant boost in resistance and strength to allow the horse to perform at its maximum capabilities.

Farnam Red Cell Competition also helps reduce free radicals that cause damage to cells and tissues, and supports recovery by decreasing oxidative stress associated with strenuous activity. It combines two strong antioxidants, dehydrated cantaloupe juice and vitamin E, which scavenge free radicals. Designed to be fed throughout training and competition.

Farnam Red Cell Recovery aids in muscle function and repair. It maintains and minimizes post-exercise muscle breakdown that occurs after intense training and competition. Delivery of temperature controlled items

Some products, such as insulin and frozen food, need to be delivered in insulated packaging to prevent them from getting too warm (or too cold) during transit from us to you. Purchasing any of these items in your order will result in a £1.99 charge being added to the total to cover the high cost of the insulated packaging materials. You only pay the £1.99 once per order, regardless of how many temperature controlled items you purchase in that order.

Good for lacking energy?

Fi ford

I have a vetern pony lacking energy, will this help him?

  • Veterinary Advisor

Yes, this product should help him. It can be used in horses competing at 2 fluid ounces daily and those not competing at 1 fluid ounce daily. The theory is that it boosts energy levels and aids quicker recovery after exercise. If your veteran pony has become more lethargic than normal recently it might be worth getting your vet to do a cushings blood test if you haven't already- a common cause of lethargy in older horses.

Use of electrolytes with this

Rita Bull

  • VioVet customer since 2015
  • From: Cornwall, United Kingdom

Would i still need to give my horse electrolytes along side this ? is it ok to use with feedback settlex ? (my horse produces excess gastric acid ) thanks Rita

  • Non-Executive Director

This is given for different reasons than electrolytes. Farnam Red Cell is best given all the time, electrolytes are normally only needed after heavy exercise (or even minimal exercise on a hot day if it results in a lot of sweating). They can both be given along with Settlex.
