  • Vitamin E - an antioxidant to help maintain a strong immune system
  • Beet pulp - a moderately fermentable fibre that produces butyrate, a short chain fatty acid (SCFA), which is a preferential energy source for the enterocytes and promotes intestinal health
  • FOS (fructooligosaccharies) - prebiotics which aid in GI health and have been shown in a clinical study to help maintain the balance between beneficial and potentially pathogenic bacteria

  • Nitrogen Trap Fibre System (beet pulp, FOS, Gum Arabic) - helps reduce nitrogenous waste – allowing for feeding moderate protein levels
  • Moderate levels of high quality animal-based protein - help to preserve the glomerular filtration rate
  • Targeted omega-6:omega-3 fatty acid ratio - reduces intrarenal blood pressure and manages inflammation at the cellular level
  • Reduced phosphorus levels - soy protein isolate (reduced phosphorus) helps nutritionally manage hyperphosphataemia, to help slow progression of renal disease
  • Added potassium citrate - helps control metabolic acidosis

  • Nitrogen Trap Fibre System (beet pulp, FOS, Gum Arabic) - to decrease ammonia accumulation, which can occur in liver disease (Hepatic Encephalopathy)
  • Moderate levels of high quality protein - a key component in enabling liver repair and maintaining liver function
  • Targeted omega-6:omega-3 fatty acid ratio - helps manage inflammation at the cellular level
  • Soy protein isolate - vegetable protein source - shown to less commonly lead to Hepatic Encephalopathy
