More Info

Since its launch in 2009, this revolutionary boot has fast become a tack-room staple as one of the most versatile boots on the market, suitable for a wide range of disciplines from endurance and racing to dressage and hacking.

Designed to be the perfect ‘all rounder’, the Tri-Zone® All Sports boot combines great protection with breathability, flexibility and lightness. All these factors have been assessed in the laboratory and the boot then tested by leading riders for comfort and ease of use, to result in a truly effective boot.

Using a unique combination of materials, these innovative boots incorporate the ventilated layered Airlite system to help prevent overheating your horse’s legs which can cause long term tissue damage.

The outer layer is made from an Ethylene Vinyl Acetate (EVA) mesh. It is hard wearing, yet still flexible, and is designed to help disperse concussion.

The inner layer is made from shock absorbing EVA formed as a breathable, soft pillowed lining for ultimate comfort and fit and has tiny air holes to allow heat to escape which encourages the horse’s natural cooling system of perspiration and evaporation.

In addition, a highly protective and ergonomically shaped integrated TPU guard helps to protect the vulnerable tendon area.

It is the cumulative effect of these layers that gives this boot its individuality and protection system.

They are very lightweight; they actually float on water, making them perfect for endurance sports where tiredness can cause injury and every ounce of extra weight is important.

Care Instructions

They fit well (bought pairs for both my Thoroughbred and Andalusian) and they do the job they're intended to do. They also seem pretty durable, so far!

I bought these for hacking and schooling my 15.2 ID. They fit her hind legs well and provide good protection. They need to be done up quite tightly to stay in place, and aren't the most elegant to look at but I like the air venting design. I had a pair of the previous design and stopped using them as I didn't like the "nobbles" inside as I worried that they would apply pressure on the tendon if they moved round but the lining in these new ones consists of even, low, "pillows". Very pleased with these.

55 Brilliant, effective, light weight boots!

I needed some boots for my horse that wouldn't get his legs too hot, or sweaty, like some 'full protection' boots can.
I was suitably impressed with these. Easy to wash - & super quick to dry. Once they've been worn a few times, they're a bit easier to fit, as the Velcro eases a little.
But my horse's legs don't get hot anymore, and he doesn't fuss about rubbing his legs when being ridden anymore to, which is great!
I would highly recommend this brand of boots - very robust and hardy, but very effective in giving protection.

Jump boots for full feather Cob with lots of bone & short legs

Donna

I have a 13.2 traditional Cob with thick short leg & lots of feather. He needs leg protection when jumping. I have woof wear extra wide, but they are too long!

  • VioVet Staff

Hello,

If you measure the circumference of your horse's leg you will be able to use the guide to see which size you will need. Medium is 20-22cm and large is 22-24cm.

I hope this helps.
