NoMetSyn is a blend of plant extracts which have proven highly effective in normalizing blood insulin concentrations in insulin resistant equines.
Additionally insulin resistant horses and ponies develop distorted hooves characteristic of chronic founder. This distortion persists and is unaffected by the drug metformin.
However, NoMetSyn not only promotes insulin normalization in the blood but also normalizes the hoof horn growth so distorted hooves regain their normal shape and function.
NoMetSyn is a powder, to be mixed with the feed.

My post-founder metabolic cob Dewi has had a poor summer with one bout of laminitis after another. He was stabled 24/7 and not improving, and I was beginning to think it wasn't kind to ask him to face another winter. I decided to try this to see if it made a difference, otherwise I would call it a day.... but within four days I noticed how much brighter he was, and after a week he was wanting out - so I turned him out and he bucked several times before trotting off to see his pals! We have nearly finished our first tub, and I can pick up all his feet with no problems now - he's completely lost that 'stuck to the ground' feel. Only drawback is the price, and the huge loading dose, but my next tub should last us ten weeks. Very strong smelling and bitter to taste, but Dewi really likes it, even though he's normally a fussy eater. I can really recommend this product - Dewi has a future now.
