Had to change to Chappie due to Alfie being diagnosed with IBS. Best thing we ever did. Ordered food several times over the years from Violet, always quick delivery and great deals. Can not believe how quickly this order was delivered. Delays elsewhere due to the Covid-19 outbreak, but no delays here. Arrived far sooner than expected.

Below are some recent questions we've received regarding Chappie Dry Dog Food for Adults, including answers from our team.
Bernie
My dog has recently been diagnosed with diabetes.
The vet has told us to put him on a high protein, low fat food with simple carbs (glycaemic index less than 55%)
I can see the protein is 20% & the fat is 8.3% , could you please let me know what the glycaemic percentage is.
Thank you
The Glycaemic Index is a level commonly used in human diets to work out how suitable the food is for a diabetic. Unfortunately most dog diets, including Chappies, have not had a glycaemic index calculated and I cannot provide this information for you.
I recommend checking out prescription diets intended for use in diabetic pets. These contain slow release carbohydrates and so will have a low glycaemic index. Purina Pro Plan DM, Royal Canin Diabetic and Hills W/D are good examples of diabetic diets.

MY DOG IS DIABETIC. IS THERE SUGAR OF ANY KIND IN THIS FOOD.
There is no sugar added to this food. However it is mostly cereal and I feel that a meat-based diet might make diabetic control easier. That is however more expensive so might not be an option. You could look at the Nature's Menu Dog food range.
