This cat scratch post is taller than most and much better for a cat. It is the one I always use. It is also well made so despite the cats' best efforts it does last well. It is a pity that spare posts are not available for it though since it is a pity to throw out a perfectly good base when a new post is all it needs - they just screw in.

Good size for a large cat with quite a sturdy base, although has better stability when placed on carpet. Have purchased many of this particular type of Berlin post over the years, being the only one my cat is really attracted to. It wears reasonably well considering the amount of use it gets from a very strong cat !!
