Description

This simple recipe with natural ingredients makes it ideal for sensitive dogs. The wholegrain brown rice is important for healthy digestion. Duck is a novel protein source; this means that if your dog has never eaten it before they will be less likely to have a reaction. It is a particularly good option for dogs with food allergies or intolerances. It is low in fat and highly digestible.

Burns Sensitive range is ideal for sensitive dogs as well as a good maintenance diet for adult and seniors alike. The recipes provide highly digestible lean protein with an easily digestible carbohydrate. With more unsuaul, or novel, ingredients for dogs prone to food intolerances.

Perfect for my cross-bred terrier with sensiitive skin and stomach. I swap between the two Burns Sensitive varieties and mix a little dog meat from a foil tray or packet to moisten it.

55 Burns kibble for sensitive digestive systems

I started feeding this kibble alongside burns wet food when my old Labrador couldn’t stomach his regular kibble any longer. This kibble is light and is easily softened down or crunched by the dog. The old kibble took ages to soften down which made my dog sick every time I feed him. More he enjoys this kibble alongside the wet food in a measured portion guided by the Burns help contact and thankfully my dog has stopped losing weight and seems to be more settled and regular with his bowel habits which were becoming difficult to control. I am sticking with this plan. Happy dog and happy owner!

My little lady having a sensitive stomach and nature, this product was recommended to me. She appears to enjoy it as it’s always eaten, more importantly it’s helped with her stomach issues. Will definitely be buying again

My dog requires a low fat/fat free food, is this suitable for her? Or can you recommend anything please?

  • VioVet Staff

Dogs do need some fat in their diet, so a totally fat-free food would not be good for very long. A low fat kibbled diet (ie dried biscuit type food) would be about 7% fat. This Burns diet is stated to have 8% fat, so it is marginally above that, but it is much lower than many other diets. I would think it would be suitable for your dog, but you should check with your vet ideally. A good example of a diet with 7% fat would be Royal Canin Gastro-Intestinal Low Fat Dog Food but that is bit more expensive than the Burns dog food.
