Hi there i have bought a ringneck parakeet which will be coming home in two weeks, I am wondering if this will be suitable to feed my new baby?

Parakeet food is perfectly suited to feeding an Indian Ringneck. Ideally you should offer a variety of fruit and salad items too. They will often eat apple and raw carrot. A variety of fresh foods is good. The best advice is also (rather strangely) to limit the amount of the food the bird most enjoys. They are not sensible with what they eat and will fill up on the tastiest foods, not being hungry enough to eat the other foods. Eating a lot of one type of food is rarely very healthy. (Doctors would never recommend bringing up a child with a permanent supply of chocolate kept within easy reach. The same principle applies.)
