Stockholm tar is stockholm tar - an old horseman's remedy for treating hoof abscesses. I liked this brand because the jar is white recyclable plastic, which is much less messy than the metal cans some of the other brands come in.

I purchased this product as my mare had thrush in her hoof. Although I was trying to treat the thrush it just wouldn't go. So i researched and found that Battles Stockholm Tar was a good to treat thrush. When the tub came it didn't have any instructions on how to use so I looked on YouTube and there was a step by step video. So I treated myself and after one application the thrush and the smell had gone.
I would definitely recommend this product.

I bought this product to treat Thrush in my cobs feet. My cobs hoof confirmation means he has Thrush in his hooves virtually all the time regardless of dry or wet weather. I therefore maintain his hooves daily ensuring they are as clean as can be. I found this product does keep on top of the condition and by painting it on with a small brush it allows you to get into the gaps in his frogs, getting to the heart of the fungal infection. I will in future buy the large pot to ensure I've always got a supply of this in stock. Highly recommended.
