This is an extremely effective skin barrier potion for all year round, smells lovely and not overly greasy. You need to apply as often as directed. Used on an ISH who lives out all winter. Would like a bigger size pot to be available.

This has cleared up the annual mud fever my mare gets in summer when the grass is wet in the mornings, much faster than anything else I've used, and it is easier to use than liquids or powders - it is a nice goo which stays in place, and it smells lovely.
Following other reviews advice I just brushed the areas with my fingers to remove loose bits, gently picked off the scabs that would come easily, left the rest of the dirt and scabs and smothered it all massaging in.
All gone in 2 weeks, whereas they usually last most of the summer. I only used on dry skin, not if it had been raining (purple spray then instead).
It is going to last me a few years I think.

It’s up there with the other barrier products, couldn’t say it was better or worse. Best thing I’ve found for his cracked heels and mud fever (trench foot this year!) is sulphur powder. It’s ideal when legs are wet and doesn’t leave a cloying mess like the barrier products. Everything is just so wet and warm this year bacteria’s having a great time

Very soothing gel. I used it after my mare caught the sun on her pink heels as part of her treatment (note..not used as a sunblock.) It soothes and helps the healing process, smells lovely and easy to apply. Will keep this product in my mare's first aid kit.
