Have only started to use it so too early to know if it helps remove yeast spors on skin.

Excellent shampoo, soothes itching, leaves the coat beautifully clean and shiny, and only a delicate scent.

Hi
My small dog has developed “folliculitis”. Will this shampoo help to treat it?
Folliculitis is an inflammation (usually caused by infection) of the hair follicles, which are the base of the hairs. Antimicrobial shampoos like this can help however for some infections medicative shampoos are required. These often require a prescription from your vet to purchase them with us.
It is always best to follow your vet's treatment plan if they have diagnosed your dog with this condition.

Does the shampoo kills mites
Hi there,
No this shampoo is not designed to kill mites or other parasites. It is designed to kill bacteria, fungi and viruses.

Hi what is the main difference between this and malaseb shampoo, I have a westie with the normal itchy skin and cheese his feet. He's on apoquel which make a big difference, but still needs something for his skin.
Many thanks jason
Hi Jason,
Thank you for your question.
The only real difference is that Aqueos is not a licensed medication so this is suitable for general bathing and will help with itchiness, whereas the Malaseb needs a prescription to help with specific conditions.
I hope this helps.

Is this shampoo effective for treating ringworm
No this will not treat ringworm. Prescription anti-fungal shampoo is normally recommended, or systemic treatment. Your own vet will have to prescribe this for you as we are not permitted to.

Is this shampoo effective against demodicosis?
Thanks
This product has no direct action against the Demodex mites, but it might well help the overall symptoms you observe. Secondary bacterial infection is commonly found with Demodex and indeed the problem is partly an immunological one. Suppressing microbial overgrowth should help, though this will at best be an adjunctive treatment and not the first line. If the diagnosis is secure, then your vet should prescribe something directly against the mites.
