The Ancol Viva Retractable Lead is a compact and stylish lead that allows your dog the freedom to wander and explore while you remain in complete control of them. The leash can be released or retracted at the push of just one button allowing for simple and instant adjustment whenever you need it. Unlike traditional 'long line' leads, the Viva leash retracts to prevent it from getting caught around dogs' (and owners') legs or being dragged on the floor. This compact and tidy design means there's no need to roll, fold, or bundle up the lead to pack it away. The super soft grip design ensures owner's comfort even when on long walks. The lead features a thick and sturdy trigger hook for simple attachment to a collar. This is a nice size for our hands, the tape moves in and out smoothly, hope it lasts longer than our last make and doesn’t start to fray.

This is the third ancol retractable that I have bought. I have to say I prefer the previous model. I find the locking mechanism less positive on the new one. My dog doesn’t like the sound of the ratchet when the lock slips but it will be adequate as a spare when I am reunited with the lead I left in Devon.

Nice size lead with a comfortable grip handle. I do find that this product doesn't retract as easily as others I have had and the lock button whilst easy to use is also quite easily knocked into unlock
