I have used these for a number of years, I showed the pack to the vet and he said that they were an excellent formulation! In addition, the dogs like them and just take them from my fingers and eat them like a treat, just great!!

Hi our great dane has sensitive digestion and kibble tends to give her loose stools. She currently has a couple of ZD hills sensitive stomach tins, 500g cooked free range chicken (breast and a leg) vegetables and rice. Im looking to ensure she has the correct amount of vitamins and minerals. Is this a good product and how much should she have?

  • VioVet Staff

I would not advise this product if your dog has a sensitive stomach. It is a very good vitamin supplement but these vitamins are sourced from multiple different protein sources and so could set off your dog's allergy.
These best thing is to find a complete branded food that your dog can cope with and stick to this alone. Hills Z/D is a good choice for this, you can feed the dry version of this.

You could also try to find a chicken based diet that works and is cheaper, if your dog copes well on chicken.

My dog is 9mths old will this be ok for him,he is always on the go he is a springer thank you

  • VioVet Staff

This should be fine to give to your dog, though he will be affected by whatever else you feed him too. I would recommend a good quality, balanced diet too. It is also good for his joints not to encourage excessive exercise until he is at least a year old. Just put the dampers on things slightly so that any exercise is not too strenuous or prolonged.
