OK, but I believe the strength of the product has been reduced, as it is much slower to eradicate fleas than in previous years

My daughter's dog came over to stay with me for a few weeks. Just before she brought him over, she said that she'd found fleas on him and in her house. I'd visited her a short while beforehand and and both my daughter and I had recently acquired some irritating insect bites. At the time, we thought it was from mosquitoes, but then fleas became the prime suspect. A local pet superstore recommended my daughter apply Frontline for the dog and 4Fleas spray for her house, both of which she used.
When the dog arrived at my house, the next day we found that he still had live fleas on him. I decided to get some 4Fleas to try and ensure that my house didn't become infested with any fleas that may transfer from the dog. I ordered my cans from VioVet, as the price was significantly cheaper than the pet store, plus speedy delivery was promised. Sure enough, it arrived impressively quickly, which meant that I could get on with washing the dog's bedding and treating the parts of the house that the dog is allowed to use.
As I am not the owner of a dog or cat, I can't categorically say that the product eradicates fleas over the long term, but I can say that having had a dog with fleas staying in my house, I have had no problems from fleas since using the product. After 3 weeks of staying with me, the dog is flea-free and the mysterious insect bites that I'd suffered from have not reappeared. So, from my perspective, the product has done the job I needed it to do and has given me peace of mind that my house will hopefully be immune to flea infestations for some months to come.

Does johnson 4fleas kill adult fleas that have already hatched and are taking overyour home.
Yes it does contain "adulticides" to kill adult fleas, as well as an ingredient to stop flea eggs and larvae from developing into fleas.
In practice it is found that you have to use quite a lot to eradicate the fleas, so do not think that a quick spray around the house will sort it out. Depending on the size of your home, you might need to use more than one can. You also need to spray everywhere at floor level, including under settees etc. If your pets go onto the furniture, then you should spray this too.

can you use this spray on floorboards as have moved into new house an have noticed a few fleas an have no carpets down yet.
It is suitable to spray on floorboards and other hard surfaces.
