How did VioVet choose the charities/rescues ?
Over 75 worthy causes were nominated and it was difficult for VioVet to pick just six.
All of them will received something and we hope that the competition raised their own profile.
We are already planning another similar competition giving away cat food to cat shelters. |

What We do:
Every year we find secure, loving new homes for around 5,500 animals. As well as rehoming cats and dogs, we rehome many other animals including rabbits, mice, guinea pigs, chickens and goats.
Each animal that comes through our doors is assessed by our experienced team and our aim is to ensure that the right home is found for every one.

What We do:
Animals in Need is Based in the Melling area of Liverpool. We promote kindness and the prevention of cruelty to animals in particular by providing or assisting in the provision of food, shelter and veterinary treatment for animals in need of care and protection.
At Animals In Need, we follow the 3 R's: RESCUE - REHABILITATE - REHOME.
We help the sad cases other centres are not able to help. We have a no destruction policy and house all the animals until we find them loving homes.
We are always home to over 100 animals (Dogs, Cats, Rabbits & Rodents, Sheep, Goats, Chickens & Geese).
We arrange for all the animals to be vaccinated, neutered and microchipped before they go to their new homes. Please take a moment to view the animals we have for adoption.

What We do:
The charity was set up to help all animals, but as we became increasingly aware of the heart breaking needless destruction of unclaimed dogs in dog pounds, we vowed to help them and the charity has developed to provide an essential life saving rescue service for these forgotten dogs.
Did you know that lost and abandoned dogs picked up by dog wardens and the police and placed in council pounds may only have ONE WEEK TO LIVE!
The pounds are only required to hold lost and abandoned dogs for SEVEN DAYS and on the EIGHTH DAY are entitled to destroy them if they are not reclaimed by owners or taken by rescues.
