Treat your dog to a pupcake

It's a familiar scene. You're snacking on some chocolate and your dog nuzzles up next to your leg hoping to get a crumb or two tossed his way.

While it is hard to resist those big brown eyes, feeding a canine human treats such as chocolate is bad for them.

But there's good news for pet owners because Rio Sopp, from Spalding, Lincolnshire has opened up an animal bakery which provides cakes and cookies which are safe for most animals, MailOnline reports.

The 22-year-old began researching recipes when she couldn't find a suitable birthday treat for her horse. After posting a picture of her equine meadow cake on Facebook, orders from doggy cookie platters to personalised birthday cakes have been rolling in.

Ms Sopp takes all the necessary precautions to ensure that what she's producing is quality dog food.

"Any chocolate that I use to decorate products is 100 per cent dog-friendly and I always have my long list of things that are poisonous to animals close by to ensure every item is safe," she noted.
