A posh puss from Teddington may be named the UK's most pampered pet and win a year's supply of cat food for the honour.
Freddie, a six-year-old moggy, was entered into a competition being run by a cat food company by owners Ann and Paddy Briggs, reports thisislocallondon.co.uk.
Mr Briggs told the news provider: "When I saw this competition, I just had to enter Freddie.
"He has his own cushion on the sofa that no one else is allowed to use. To make sure it is up to his standards it is regularly washed and cleaned because if it doesn’t feel right or smell clean Freddie won't go near it."
Freddie's favourite food is fresh prawns and, according to Ms Briggs, he does whatever he wants and is very vocal.
As well as a year's supply of cat food, if Freddie wins he will also be presented with a diamond pendant worth £20,000.
