Renalzin dose rate

Our customer asked:

Hi, I was interested in your Renalzin - as I have a 21-yr old Tonkinese cat, who is otherwise very healthy - eats and poohs normally and has just had vet check-up. However, she has been drinking water and weeing a lot more in recent months and of course I realise that her kidneys are probably "on the way out". Her dry food is the Royal Canin Senior (supplied by you) - and the wet food is Nature's Best Senior. She weighs about 2.6 Kg. What I need to know is what would be the correct dosage of Renalzin i.e. how much it will cost to keep her on this medication per month? Please advise.

Our reply:

The recommended dose is 2mls per day (one pump), so there are 25 or 75 days worth in the two different bottle sizes. That works out at just under 30p per day for the 150ml bottle. It can make a big difference to cats like yours.
