Description

ProReward Treats are delicious pieces of 100% air dried chicken or duck, and freeze dried beef liver. They contain absolutely nothing else - no animal derivatives, preservatives or hidden additives. Dogs absolutely love them and will do anything for it! This is why vets often use it to distract dogs during examinations. It is also incredibly healthy for dogs as they are packed with essential nutrients. They are perfect for training purposes or as a reward. These treats have been freeze dried to last for a long time and will still retain all their natural goodness.

Firmness of treat

I need a treat that will be firm enough to keep my diabetic Westie distracted long enough to give her her injections! Will these be suitable? We've previously been using the VioVet® Natural Dog Treats Chicken Strips which seem to work pretty well.

  • VioVet Staff

ProReward Duck and Chicken treats are chewy jerky treats and the Liver treats are freeze-dried.

Diabetic lab

steve

Are these treats ok for diabetic Lab??

  • VioVet Staff

Hello Steve,

Thank you for your question.

As part of an overall diet for a diabetic dog, none of the Thrive ProReward treats should present a problem as they are high in protein and low in carbohydrates. In view of this they should not cause a stable diabetic to become destabilised.

Hope this helps.
