Expand All / Collapse All Paxcutol is a whitish to cream coloured viscous suspension containing benzoyl peroxide 2.5% w/w. For the treatment and control of canine skin disease where bacterial infection and/or seborrhoea are involved. To be used as a shampoo. Wet the dog's coat with warm water. Massage shampoo into the coat to achieve an overall lather and then rinse. Apply shampoo for a second time and allow lather to remain for 10 minutes. Thoroughly rinse with water. In cases where lesions are not widespread, the product may be applied locally. Initially treatment is recommended once daily on its own or concurrently with specific therapy, e.g. antibiotics. As the skin condition improves, the interval between treatments may be extended to a frequency of once monthly. Avoid contact with the eyes and mucous membranes. Dogs may show signs of sensitivity to the shampoo. Should irritation or skin inflammation occur, frequency of use should be reduced or treatment discontinued. Impervious gloves should be worn at all times when applying and using the shampoo. Remove any splashes with plenty of water. Protect clothing as shampoo may damage some fabrics.
