Vivitreats are a soft and tasty treat designed to help administer tablets to your dog simply, easily and without fuss. Designed to help alleviate problems that dog owners often have administering tablets long-term, which can lead to vital tablets being missed or treatment being abandoned, Vivitreats is a soft and tasty treat that owners can use to administer any medication. The medication is disguised within the treat by inserting the tablet into its center and moulding the Vivitreat around it until completely enclosed.

So why not try Vivitreats, and turn tablets into tasty treats.

Makes medicating easier

26th March 2014

Okay theses are a little pricey but if you have trouble getting tablets into your dog or you need to medicate for the first time these are pretty much the answer. The are soft and squishy and we find 1/2 a vivitreat will do it. Take the tablet and squish it into the vivitreat and our dogs seem the really enjoy them so taking the tablet stops being a chore that the dogs hate and becomes a treat they look forward to.

My pet now thinks medicine is a treat

26th September 2013
  • VioVet Customer Since: July 2013
  • From: Swansea

My dog thinks this is a treat even if she can taste the powdered medicine hidden inside. I've struggled for a couple of years to get her to take the pain medication she needs for her arthritis. She has a recurring jaw problem which makes it impossible to just open her mouth and pop the meds in, and she checks her food before eating and carefully avoids any tablets. She had become adept at eating cheese, peanut butter, mackerel pate (and anything else I thought of trying) from round a tablet and then proudly leaving the tablet on the floor. Her new medication is powder out of capsules, and I can wrap this inside Vivitreat pellets. These are wolfed down with no hesitation, even if she tastes the medicine, and I can be confident that she has had the painkillers she needs. I wish I'd discovered them ages ago.

Low Fat ? 12th May 2014

Hi,
As my Whippet has just been diagnosed with Pancreatitis and can only eat very low fat in his food, this means the cheese-pil taking method we'd perfected is now redundant.

Can you please let me have the analytical content of these ViviTreats ?

The stated analysis for Vivitreats is: Protein 33%, Fats 8%, Ash 8%, Fibre 0.5%, Moisture 22%. The total amount of fat present in one treat (which is almost one quarter water) is not great and Vivitreats are often used in this circumstance. They should be fine to use.
