Royal Canin Dog Weight Control is a nutritional support food specifically formulated for dogs with: weight maintenance following a weight loss programme, dogs that are prone to obesity, diabetes mellitus, hyperlipidaemia linked to excess weight, Colitis or constipation. It has been specially developed to help to keep your dog at his ideal weight and body size. Weight gain will be prevented and Insulin resistance will be strengthened due to a blend of L-Carnitine and high protein levels. It contains cereals such as barley and corn with low glycaemic index. Combined with the gelling action os psyllium mucilages this formula will help to reduce postprandial hyperglycaemia. Pressure on joints can be very high in overweight dogs. This will be helped due a combination of Chondroitin sulphate and glucosamine. Additionally, a patented antoxidants complex helps to strengthen your dog's immune system, helps to maintain DNA and to neutralise free radicals.
