Royal Canin Vet Diet Hepatic provides nutritional support for dogs in cases of: liver disease, Chronic hepatitis, Portosystemic shunt, Hepatic encephalopathy, Liver failure, Copper metabolism disorders or Piroplasmosis. It has been specially formulated to support your dog's liver and maintain his overall health. It helps to prevent excessive protein catabolism which can lead to the onset or progression of hepatic encephalopathy. It  contains easily digestible vegatable proteins which dogs with hepatic encephalopathy can tolerate well. Copper accumulations in the hepatocytes will be reduced by a low copper with added zinc. The liver has high energy needs which will be fulfilled by added L-Carnitine. Additionally, the antioxidant formula will assist the health of the hepatocytes. This product is intended for use under the advice of a vet, for further information or advice please contact your vet.
