High protein/calorie ratio - helps maintain lean body mass, or muscle, increases the % of fat loss and promotes satiety
High fibre - promotes satiety while reduces calories consumed, and helps manage fibre-responsive colitis
Low fat - reduces calories to promote effective weight loss
Administration:
The suggested daily food intake for weight loss is based on the dog’s current weight, average caloric requirements and a desired weight loss of 2% of body weight per week.
Daily food intake must be adjusted every 4 weeks. It must be fed until target body weight is achieved.
