The daily amount required by individual puppies typically varies by ±16% (e.g. a 4 month old, 15 kg puppy may require between 315 and 435 grams per day of Hill’s Nature’s BestTM Puppy Large/Giant. Therefore these amounts should be adjusted to maintain optimal body weight, and fed as 2 - 4 meals per day (the number may decrease with age).

Ground maize, chicken and turkey meal, maize gluten meal, brown rice, digest, animal fat, dried beet pulp, ground barley, oat groats, fish oil, flaxseed, dehydrated carrots, dehydrated peas, tomato pomace, spinach powder, citrus pulp, grape pomace, salt, potassium citrate, L-carnitine supplement, potassium chloride, L-lysine hydrochloride, iron oxide, L-tryptophan, vitamins and trace elements. Natrually preserved with mixed tocopherols, citric acid and rosemary extract.
Additional information
- Large and giant breed puppies should be fed Hill's Nature's Best™ Puppy Large/Giant from weaning until 1 year of age, and then switched to Hill's Nature's Best™ Canine Adult Large/Giant.
- Enriched with a high level of DHA (docosahexaenoic acid), an essential structural component of the brain which occurs naturally in mothers' milk. Feeding pregnant and lactating bitches on Hill's Nature's Best™ Puppy Mini/Medium provides puppies with a high level of DHA before weaning. When Hill's Nature's Best™ Puppy Large/Giant is also fed to puppies after weaning, additional DHA is supplied throughout the critical formation and development of brain and eyes.
- Additional food or supplements, particularly calcium supplements, should not be fed as this will upset the essential nutritional balance.
Recommended for
Large and giant breed puppies (over 25 kg when adult) from weaning until 1 year old
Not recommended for
- Cats
- Pregnant or lactating bitches, because of a lower energy density and lower calcium content (compared to Hill's Nature's Best™ Puppy Mini/ Medium). Pregnant or lactating bitches should be fed Hill's Nature's Best™ Puppy Mini/ Medium.
