Royal Canin Urinary S/O pouches with Chicken is a complete food for adult cats. It can be fed to cats with idiopathic cystitis, struvite urolithiasis or struvite and calcium oxalate urolithiasis. It has been specifically developed to help to dissolve struvite uroliths and restore optimum bladder health. The food will dilute the urine which will ensure regular flushing of the bladder and will decrease the urinary concentration of struvites and calcium oxalates. It also has a low level of magnesium which is a component of struvite crystals. These will both help to prevent the formation of crystals.

Royal Canin diet feline Urinary S/O Alutray with Chicken is a complete and balanced diet for adult cats that have been formulated to aid in the management of feline lower urinary tract disease (FLUTD).

The management of urolithiasis is far more challenging than it used to be; struvite urolithiasis and calcium oxalate urolithiasis occurring more frequently and commonly. Urine pH manipulation alone cannot be used to reliably manage urolithiasis. Waltham science has taken a safer approach and invested years of research in developing a single diet which effectively reduces the risks for both types of uroliths simultaneously.

Royal Canin diet feline Urinary S/O are the first and only diets which have been clinically proven to reduce the risk of both struvite and calcium oxalate urolithiasis. This diet has been designed to ensure production of urine undersaturated for struvite and with levels of calcium oxalate saturation at which spontaneous homogeneous crystallisation will not occur.

Urinary Idiopathic Cystitis Diet

Almost 64% of cases of FLUTD* are caused by idiopathic cystitis. Clinical trials have shown significant reduction of recurrence of idiopathic cystitis in those cats maintained on Urinary S/O Feline wet diet.

Urinary Diet effectively dissolves struvite uroliths

Urinary S/O Feline effectively dissolves struvite uroliths.

Urinary Low RSS

Undersaturated urine is an environment where crystals cannot proliferate. Thus the urine is unfavourable to the development of struvite and calcium oxalate crystals.

 Urinary Bladder Support

Glycosaminoglycans (GAG) that are naturally found on the healthy bladder mucosa are reduced in idiopathic cystitis. This reduction, responsible for increased bladder permeability to microorganisms, toxins and ions, results in stimulation of pain-sensitive receptors.
