| Royal Canin Veterinary Diets » Cat Food » Gastro-Intestinal (GI32) | | | |
Royal Canin Gastro-Intestinal G132 is a complete food for adult cats with acute intestinal absorption disorders. It can be used in cases of chronic and acute diarrhoea, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), malabsorption, maldigestion, convalescence, gastritis, colitis, anorexia, bacterial overgrowth and cholangiohepatitis. It has been specially developed to ensure that digestive health is restored and to encourage nutritional restoration and convalescence. Digestive security will be maximised with carefully selected, highly digestible ingredients such as rice, beet pulp, fish oil, prebiotics and highly digestible LIP proteins. They will help to promote beneficial intestinal flora and to limit the growth of bad bacteria in the gut. The ingredients are also highly palatable to encourage cats to eat frequently and spontaneously for weight gain in cats with a reduced appetite. The food contains high energy levels which allow smaller meal sizes to not overload the stomach. Digestive health is also supported with omega-3 long chain fatty acids. | | Royal Canin Veterinary Diets » Cat Food » Gastro-Intestinal (GI32) | 2kg Dry • Usually ships in 24 hours. |

Feeding duration
In case of acute disease, regeneration of the intestinal villi requires the nutritional support to last for a minimum of three weeks. Lifetime feeding may be necessary/beneficial in case of chronic disease. In order to optimise digestive function, the recommended daily intake should be divided into several small meals.

A high energy content food allows a reduction in meal volume and decreased intestinal charge.
|
Highly digestible ingredients compensate for the decreased activity of intestinal enzymes and therefore ensure a maximal supply of nutrients.
|
Psyllium regulates intestinal transit. Fructo-oligo-saccharides stimulate the growth of a beneficial digestive flora. Mannan-oligo-saccharides promote immune function.
|
The synergistic antioxidant complex (vitamin E, vitamin C, taurine, lutein) neutralises free radicals, helps maintain healthy DNA, and supports health of the immune system. |
