Royal Canin Veterinary Diets » Cat Food » Dental (DSO29)

Royal Canin Dental S/O is a complete food for adult cats with oral sensitivity. It has been specifically formulated to help your cat to have optimum dental and oral health, and to reduce symptoms of oral sensitivity. The formation of tartar will be limited with added sodium polyphosphate which binds salivary calcium. The food will also help your cat's urinary health by increasing the volume of urine to dilute it and decrease the concentration of struvite and calcium oxalate. This will reduce the risk of the formation of crystals. Digestive security will be ensured as the food only contains selected highly digestible protein and other ingredients such as rice. Flatulence will be reduced as this will limit fermentation in the intestine. Beneficial intestinal flora growth will be encouraged with added FOS and beet pulp. The food will also help to eliminate hairballs with a combination of psyllium and dietary fibres.

COMPOSITION: dehydrated poultry meat, wheat gluten*, rice, maize, maize flour, animal fats, vegetable fibres, minerals, beet pulp, hydrolysed animal proteins, egg powder, fish oil, fructo-oligo-saccharides, soya oil, psyllium husks and seeds, hydrolysed yeast (source of manno-oligo-saccharides), marigold extract (source of lutein).

ADDITIVES (per kg): Nutritional additives: Vitamin A: 25100 IU, Vitamin D3: 800 IU, E1 (Iron): 43 mg, E2 (Iodine): 3.4 mg, E4 (Copper): 9 mg, E5 (Manganese): 57 mg, E6 (Zinc): 186 mg, E8 (Selenium): 0.07 mg - Technological additives: Pentasodium triphosphate: 3 g - Preservatives - Antioxidants.

ANALYTICAL CONSTITUENTS: Protein: 29% - Fat content: 15% - Crude ash: 6.4% - Crude fibres: 5.5%. *L.I.P.: protein selected for its very high assimilation.

	Increasing the urine volume reduces both calcium oxalate and struvite saturation so the diet produces a urinary environment unfavourable to the development of both struvite and calcium oxalate crystals.
	Highly digestible protein (wheat gluten) limits fermentation processes in the intestine, thus reducing flatulence. Rice, a highly digestible source of starch, improves the overall diet digestibility. FOS and beet pulp stimulate the growth of a beneficial intestinal flora.
	Psyllium and dietary fibres facilitate hairball elimination and help prevent hairball-related problems such as vomiting and/or constipation.
