Royal Canin Light 40 is a complete food for adult cats that are prone to becoming overweight. It will provide your cat with a complete nutritional balance for optimum health and happiness whilst also helping with weight management. The food is dual action to help your cat to maintain her optimum weight and body shape. Firstly, the formula contains a high fibre and psyllium content which has been shown to reduce the calories spontaneously consumer by 17% (according to a Royal Canin study in 2006). This will still satisfy its appetite and help to stave off hunger between meals. Secondly, high protein levels (40%) will help to preserve muscles mass and L-Carnitine will aid the metabolism of fats.
