S-Adenosylmethionine (SAMe) is made by all cells from methionine and adenosine triphosphate and is very important to normal liver function in several ways. It plays a central role in the synthesis and metabolic reactions involving transmethylation, transsulfuration and the aminopropylation pathway and is abundantly produced by hepatocytes.

In 45% of dogs and cats with liver problems low hepatic glutathione levels have been shown; hence supplemention is recommended to improve hepatic glutathione levels and help maintain and protect the liver function.

Dosage for 100mg capsules
Up to 5.5kg - 1 capsule daily.
5.5kg to 11kg - 2 capsules daily.
11kg to 16kg - 3 capsules daily.
16kg to 30kg - 4 capsules daily.
30kg plus - 6 capsules daily.

The number of capsules can be gradually reduced or may increase at any time depending on the pet's specific needs. Capsules to be given orally.
