55 Takes the stress out of worming the cat
Verified Purchase

I wanted to avoid stressing my cat with worming tablets, and when I cut the tablet up and wrapped the pieces in this stuff, she gobbled them up without suspecting a thing. These are rather expensive for what they are, even with Viovet's discount, but so are spot-on wormers that kill both roundworms and tapeworms (like Dronspot at around £5 per application). At £8.69, over time, using this with the pills will work out a bit cheaper as a little of this goes a long way. Plus it's good to have this on hand in case my cat needs to take other medication in the near future. If you have a cat who needs to take medication frequently, I would definitely recommend these.

55 A great solution!

This has proved a great success to get medicine into my cat, both in tablet and in powder form. I was at war trying to get a new medicine into her, I tried everything and this was literally my last resort but luckily it worked!
You knead it first in a similar way you do with BluTac, then form into something small enough for your animal to take. Adding tablets is relatively easy, but with powder, there's a bit of a process. I use half a stick of EasyPill, form it into two flat pieces and add half the capsule of powder to one, and put the second flat piece on top like a sandwich and squash it firmly together. Then thoroughly knead it until the powder has blended into the doughy ball. Some powder will fall out but can be mopped up with the EasyPill and worked in once the rest has blended in. Then repeat the process for the second half of the capsule!
I then form into a long piece that I cut into 5 pieces which I can then give with one of her favourite treats squashed into the top.
My clever cat could detect the medicine in everything I tried previously and absolutely refused it, but she accepts this so well and it is such a relief that we now have a solution going forward.
I can highly recommend this to any fussy cat parent!

Has made giving a daily tablet to the cat so easy. Cat loves the putty and doesn’t notice the tablet. Just add it to his food. Hypoallergenic as well, the cat has many allergies.

55 Perfect for an easily stressed cat

My cat hates to be restrained, giving her a pill manually is not an option, with her being on at least 5 tablets a day, she would be so stressed, it would be cruel, but with Easy Pill it's so much easier. I wrap each tablet individually and place on top of her food, she eats them first, almost like she thinks of them as treats. This has definitely been the best solution I've found, she has no idea she's taking medication. I can even pre-prepare her meds, for stays at the cattery. Happy cat, happy owner, everyone's a winner.

The only way I can get my cat to take her meds is in this putty. Highly recommended. She eats it every time!

Medicating a fussy cat

Sarah

My cat is semi feral so hard to catch and medicate. She is only 8 and has heart failure. She is on diuretics and blood pressure tablets. I have tried many things to help Medicate her and she then gets wise to it! Would these be suitable to try for her?

  • VioVet Staff

Yes EasyPill is perfect for tableting a cat that is difficult to tablet! It comes in small 'putty' like form that an easily be moulded around a tablet. The putty is particularly palatable and can hide the taste of the tablets themselves.

ARE THE CAT TREATS SUITABLE FOR CATS WITH CKD AND ARE THEY SOFT LIKE PUTTY OR LIKE A BISCUIT

EILEEN

My cat has CKD and a sore mouth so are they suitable for cats with CKD and are they really soft like putty or more like a biscuit please

  • VioVet Staff

Hello,

Thank you for your enquiry.

Unfortunately due to this condition being different from animal to animal, only your vet can advise if they would be suitable for your cat's condition. Please contact your vet before introducing them to your cat(s).

The cat putty is a putty which can be moulded to engolf the tablet, making it much easier to medicate fussy cats. The consistency is rather like play doh.

I hope this helps.
