Numerous non-prescription or OTC (over-the-counter) pet meds are available online nowadays. Dog medication is no exception. One benefit of non-prescription medication for dogs is that it is readily available and no veterinary consultation is required.
There are two types of dog medicine that you should keepi on hand as they involve treatment on a regular basis. First it is always wise to have a stock of flea treatment available. If you wait until you see fleas before treating for them, you will find it very difficult to get rid of them. Dog medicine for flea and tick treatment is also readily available. The wide array of options may be daunting but we have provided information about each to help your decision. See our Help and Advice centre for detailed advice. It is also important to worm your pets frequently. A de-worming dose once every 3 months is ideal.
The main thing to remember is that routine flea d=and worm treatments will prevent problems occurring. If you wait until you are aware of a problem, it can be much more difficult to treat and may well involve your pet suffering in the process.
